Types of golf clubs and distances

  • Driver. It is the teeing stick par excellence, especially for longer distance holes. Perhaps it is not the one that has the best control of all for the tee shot, but within golf club distances it is the one that guarantees you can send the ball the greatest distance, approximately 215 meters.

  • Woods. They are very similar to golf and can also be used on shorter distance holes. Despite everything with woods 3 and 5 (that's what they are called) you can reach 200 or 170 meters, respectively

  • Hybrid: In recent years a new golf club has been added that is a fusion of long iron and wood. It is the hybrid golf club that allows greater flexibility and that, due to its greater ease of handling, in many cases can be used as a substitute for the 5 wood or the 3 iron.

  • Irons. The irons, surely the best known golf clubs for laymen in the sport can be classified into 3 types:
  1. Long irons. These golf clubs are designed to hit the greens from long distances. His golf club distance range is between 165 and 190 meters.

  3. Sand Wedge is one of the most popular and, although as its name suggests, it is often used to get out of bunkers, the truth is that its versatility has made it one of the most popular short distance clubs.
